영천 최씨 (永川崔氏)

시조(始祖) : 최한(崔漢)

  시조 최한(漢)은 '경주 최씨(慶州崔氏)'의 시조 최균의 10세손(최식의 둘째 아들)으로, 고려 의종, 명종 때에 벼슬을 하면서 공을 세워 연산부원군(영천)에 봉해졌으므로 후손들이 본관을 영천(永川)으로 하였다.

[ 대표적 인물(代表的人物) ]
  ·최흥효(興孝) : 조선 세종 때의 서예가로 유명하다. 그는 홍문관 제학을 지냈으며 예서와 초서를 잘 썼다. 흥효의 후손에서 영천최씨는 12파로 갈린다.
  ·최무선(茂宣) : 고려 말기의 유명한 인물로는 발명가이다.
