  시조 김장생(長生)은 중국 명나라 한림학사로 우리나라에 들어와서 등주(안변)에 대를이어 살았으므로 후손들이 등주를 본관으로 하였다.

  등주는 안변(安邊)의 옛이름으로 후손들이 이곳을 본관으로 삼아 대를 이어왔다.
