 장윤덕 (張胤德)

 

 


   예천군 서기로 재직 중 일본의 침략이 노골화되자 동지들과 합의, 일본의 요인을 암 살하려다 실패하고 걸인을 가장하여 각처로 피신했다.
  1907년(융희 1) 고향으로 돌아와 동지 50여명을 규합, 예천우체국을 습격하여 이를 파괴하고 일본인 우체국장을 살해 했다.
  이어 의병 1백여 명을 모아 의병장이 되어 영주·풍기 지방의 일본군 1개 중대를 모아 문경에 유도하여 이를 섬멸했다.
  상주·대구의 일본 수비대와 교전 중 부상하여 체포된 뒤에도 계속 항거하다가 총살당했다.

  대한민국 건국공로훈장이 수여되었다.
